Driver Terms

Last updated October 30, 2026

Draft: this page is waiting on review by a lawyer before TapHaul launches. It describes how the app works today.

Who this covers

Drivers and workers who take deliveries or jobs through TapHaul, whether on their own or as part of a Supplier's crew, together with the Terms of Use. You must be 18 or older.

Independent relationship

You are not an employee of TapHaul. You choose when to go on duty and which work to accept. Crew members of a Supplier work under their arrangement with that Supplier.

Identity verification and background checks

Before taking work you confirm your identity with Stripe Identity (a photo of your ID and a live selfie). With your separate written consent, given on Checkr's own disclosure and authorization form, Checkr runs a background check, which for drivers includes a motor vehicle record. Checks may be repeated, usually once a year.

If information in a report may lead TapHaul to turn you down, you will first receive a pre-adverse action notice with a copy of the report and a summary of your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and time to respond or dispute it with Checkr, before any final decision.

Location during deliveries

While you are on an active delivery, from loading at the yard until the drop, the app shares your precise location, including in the background, with the customer and the Supplier's dispatchers so they can see the truck coming. It stops when the delivery ends and is never shared while you are off duty. Location history is deleted 180 days after the delivery.

Requirements

Hold the license, endorsements, registration and insurance the vehicle and load require; follow traffic, weight and safety laws; and refuse a drop you judge unsafe.

Proof of delivery

Photograph every drop, and add the scale ticket when asked. The photo protects you if a customer says a load never arrived.

Pay

You are paid by your Supplier, or, for independent drivers, through Stripe Connect once the delivery is confirmed, as shown in the app.

Deactivation

TapHaul may suspend access for safety, fraud, an expired check or document, or breaking these terms. We tell you the reason and how to respond.
