Supplier Agreement
Draft: this page is waiting on review by a lawyer before TapHaul launches. It describes how the app works today.
Who this covers
Yards, material suppliers, haulers, rental companies, pros and other businesses approved to sell or deliver on TapHaul ("Suppliers"), together with the Terms of Use.
Approval
Suppliers apply in the app. TapHaul reviews business details, licenses and insurance before approving, and may ask for more information. Approved Suppliers keep their insurance current; listings stop showing when required insurance expires. The people who own and run a Supplier must be 18 or older.
Listings
Suppliers are responsible for accurate listings: material, unit, price, minimums, yard location, delivery rates and delivery range. A price change applies to new orders only; placed orders keep the price they were quoted.
Fees
TapHaul charges Suppliers a flat 4.5% of what they are paid for each order (materials, add-ons and delivery), the same for every business and every job. The fee is shown in the app before you accept work. Customers pay their own service fee separately, and it never comes out of your share. Tips go to the Supplier in full.
Payment protection and payouts
Customers pay TapHaul in full at checkout. When every load on an order is delivered and confirmed (by the customer, or automatically 24 hours after a photographed drop), TapHaul transfers the Supplier's share through Stripe Connect. Payouts need a Stripe account in good standing. A card dispute holds the payout until it is resolved. Refunds after a payout, including refunds for problems a customer reports, are recovered from the Supplier's share.
Delivery and proof
Drivers photograph every drop and may add the scale ticket. Suppliers keep arrival times reasonably accurate through the app and use only drivers who are approved on TapHaul.
Conduct
Treat customers and drivers fairly, honour accepted orders, and don't move customers you met through TapHaul off the platform to avoid fees.
Ending
Either side can stop at any time; orders already accepted must be completed or cancelled through the app. TapHaul may suspend Suppliers who break these terms or put people at risk.
